I am so proud that I dragged myself to water therapy despite it literally being 2 degrees outside. Damn that warm water felt nice. Getting out and going home not so much. However, there are more important things going on. In the ongoing saga of being Owen’s parents, our garage will have a new bug living in it. A rusty 67 VW bug. Of course it’s not in the garage yet. More work to be done to get it there.
Owen found a bug for sale cheap that he wanted for parts or for the engine or something like that (sorry, Owen). It was cheap enough that it was worth it to rent a U-Haul and trailer and go down and get it. Owen and Trinity took off in the truck and Luke and Leo went separately to be available to help get it on the trailer.
I love this picture of the bug. It looks like it is in some ceremonial circle of stones. Maybe it’s a time portal.
And up it went. Lord I love that boy.
Once they got home that night things got a little trickier. In order to get it off the trailer they poured water down the the trailer ramp and slid it down once the water froze. My sweet peas.
I don’t recall how many VW bug engines that Owen now owns, but it is getting up there. You don’t want to chime in and tell us, do you, Owen? Oh, and I think Owen should start a Bug-related Substack, whaddya think?
Welcome, little bug, welcome.
Onward.
Love,
Cynthia
A Substack, a YouTube channel, whatever he wants to do, I'll sign up and watch. I already watch a bunch of aircooled VW channels, to the point where I _almost_ feel like I could work on an old bug engine myself!
Miss you all, think of you all the time, and of course, faithfully read the newsletter <3
