Tal left. Ernie and I cried. Come ON, US Immigration.
When the X-ray folks tell you they’re running “a tad behind,” believe them. An hour and a half to get an X-ray. Of course we were very early thanks to me being Polly Voelkl’s daughter.
Convient Care was packed, positively crawling with people, hence X-ray being behind.
I can’t believe my pink Puppywood is already covered in red leaves.
Ernie said he saw the first windmill from our maple.
Rules to follow: take a pain pill before you take a shower.
So excited to see my beloved Jason Ringenberg this Saturday (still a few tickets left).
My printer has a mind of it’s own. Whenever I print double sided sheets, which I do every week, IT decides on how many to print. I generally want to print 21. When I do that I sometimes end up with 50. The other day I asked for 9 and it gave me 12. Asked for 15 and it gave me 23. So now I just make up a number and see what happens.
Last night’s dinner.
Pork tenderloin roasted on a bed of sliced cabbage, fennel and apple and then drizzled with a Dijon/lemon balsamic/honey sauce. Utterly delicious. I based it on this recipe.
Super busy this week because of the Jason show coming up. I watched a few old videos of him at our house and they made me so happy. Then I came across a short remembrance he did of Peter Cooper. I thought it would make me cry but it was really joyful.
And a couple of favorites from Hardly Strictly Ernie.
Onward.
Love,
Cynthia
Truly love Jason, so sorry we will miss him this week. And that pork looked great.
