I met my friend Susan when I posted in my blog MANY, many years ago that we wanted to go out but didn’t have a babysitter. She messaged me and said, “Hey, my name is Susan, I read your blog and my kid Carolyn would be a great babysitter for you!” And with that Carolyn became one of our all-time favorite babysitters, up there with our beloved Hayley from down the street. Susan also quickly became part of our family of friends and has been incredibly good to us over the years, helping us in many ways on TOP of her incredible generosity with gardening and yardwork when we began having troubles keeping up with it. She and her children are family and that’s why we were so gutted by hearing that Carolyn’s son, Susan’s utterly beloved three year old grandson, had died.
Here is the news story. It’s hard to have the words but I am glad for the family that they were able to donate his organs. Morgan loved to be a helper. Just click the image for the video and admire those curls. Ernie had been known to talk at length about those curls.

Although Carolyn and their famly are in Denver, Susan’s family is from Kewanee (Jason Ringenberg territory so she and Jason always chat when they see each other) and she and her sisters are going to plant some trees as a memorial for Morgan at a Kewanee park. As Susan said, “ that park needs trees and Morgan loved sticks especially, he had just been trying to climb trees. If anyone wants to contribute, the Kewanee Park District will accept checks with Muller memorial tree or Kapacinskas family memorial in the memo of a check. Their address is: Kewanee Park District, 1095 Cambridge Rd, Kewanee, IL 61443.
I know Morgan will never be forgotten. Love stays in our hearts, but I am so sorry for the pain that goes along with it.
Onward, with love for Morgan and all that loved him.
Love,
Cynthia
