We snuck down to Nashville this week to say happy birthday to one of my favorite forces of nature, Mary Sack.
Some people have a fierce glowing core. They are passionate and they love hard and they are overflowing with life. One of those is my friend, Mary.
I got to know Mary through David Olney and Mark Gerking and well, we just love each other.
We didn’t do well with taking photos but this blurry one is actually kinda perfect. That how we felt, all blurry with love.
Here we are after the Olney memorial.
And here’s a bit off what makes Mary Mary.
Then there was the time when everybody playing at the Bluebird was a Sandwich Life alum and I really wanted to go terribly. I couldn’t swing it so Mary just brought a picture of me with her (and photo by the great John Partipilo no less). I mean, really, you have to love her, right?
I adore the 5-Spot, my favorite club since Mabel’s. It was wonderful to see so many beloved friends. Mary attracts the best folks.
Sending more love than they could ever imagine to Mary and to Ed.
Love you forever,
Cynthia
Lots more to come…as we squeezed in some wandering.
What a great woman. Glad you got to celebrate her in person! Love seeing the photos!
"blurry with love" perfect.
